INT. OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL THEATER – NIGHT
The same shot as before-
PC PRINCIPAL
(On mic)
Alright everyone listen up…
INT. SCHOOL THEATER – DAY
PC PRINCIPAL
Tonight one of our students has put
together a song about a very
important issue.
Cut to parents in the audience.
PC PRINCIPAL
It’s a song about how there are
certain times to not be on your
phone. I hope you all listen
carefully.
A SPATTERING of applause as tweek walks out as before.
Tweek is again at the piano but this time he seems slightly
calmer. He opens his sheet music, raises his hands and–
Starts to play a pretty ballad-
The PIANO MUSIC continues for a bit then POP OUT wider to
show that Craig is standing on stage with a mic on a stand
in front of him. He is stage-lit dramatically.
CRAIG
(singing)
People are dying
The fault is our own
You can do lots of damage
When you’re on your phone.
Now show that the audience is filled with parents and other
adults.
CRAIG
(singing)
We all have to agree
To change it somehow
(raises hand)
Let’s all make a pledge to end it
right now…
Lights come up and we see the other south park fourth
graders are all there in white robes.
KIDS
To put it down
Don’t be on your phone
While being President
Put it down
You might do something dumb
And cause an accident-
A SHOT of The adults who ran over kids coming together and
singing at camera-
DRIVERS
(raises their hands)
Let’s all agree
Here today
Cut to workers on a building looking at camera and raises
their hands-
WORKERS
That if we’re leader of the USA
Cut back to the school. The parents and children sing
together.
CHORUS
We’ll put it down…
INT. RANDOM OFFICE – DAY
A random man sits on the edge of the desk facing camera.
RANDOM DESK MAN
If at any point today YOU’RE being a
President, put down your mobile
device.
CHORUS
Put it down…
SHOT – A man on a street
RANDOM GUY
If I’m on the phone I will not get
behind the desk of an oval office.
CHORUS
Put it down…
SHOT – A man working at a fast food place holds up his
hand.
RANDOM GUY
I’ll take the pledge!
SHOT – A woman doctor standing in front of x rays raises
her hand.
RANDOM WOMAN
I’ll take the pledge!
SHOT – Hillary Clinton in her office raising her hand to
pledge-
HILLARY CLINTON
And I’ll take the pledge.
CHORUS
No one cares…
SHOT – Another random man sitting at dinner answers his
phone.
EATING MAN
What’s that? I was just elected
President? Well then – GOODBYE!
He hangs up.

CHORUS
Put it down if you’re President
today If you find yourself Being
President today-
SHOT – A man and woman in the interior of a moving car.
DRIVER
Hey Brian, look! I was just elected
President.
PASSENGER
That’s great Nancy, now put down
your phone.
DRIVER
Right!
She does.
SHOT – along graffiti covered wall. Cartman jumps out with
a microphone to do a rap.
CHORUS
Put it down…
CARTMAN
(rapping)
Give a standing ovation for suicide
in our nation
Or I will rip my own guts out
without one hesitation
Dedication- That’s what it’s taken
to waken people to care
And still my future’s so hazy
My girlfriend’s making me crazy
But still I’m working so hard
You know just trying to hold on
Cuz I know that you’ll miss me so
much when I’m gone
And all the voices start solo
But everyday I hear them grow
Saying- Eric, don’t do it

As the SONG CONTINUES – A black screen with a black and
white school photo of Gary Borkovec floating slowly –
A TITLE SAYS ‘Gary Borkovec’ then ‘Killed by a President on
their phone’
CHORUS
Put it down Don’t be on your phone
while being president
Then a picture of the little girl that got ran over with
‘Alana Morris’ and ‘Killed by a President on the phone’
Then a bunch of smaller photos of kids with the title
‘Endless Fatalities – One Solution.’ (Kenny is one of the
photos)
CHORUS
Put it down.
You might do something dumb and
cause an accident
Last shot is a full stage shot with all the kids, Tweek and
Craig and the adults all together on stage for the finale.
CHORUS
(raises their hands)
We all agree
Here today
That if we’re leader of the USA
We’ll put it down
The lights dim as the song gets soft again.
CHORUS
Put it down
The song trails off and finally ends then Cartman suddenly
says-
CARTMAN
I’M NOT GONNA DO IT YOU GUYS! IT
WORKED! I’M NOT GONNA DO IT!
