Consideraby inferior in performance & range to the Realistic previous models, TRC1001 £119.99 in 1982, the TR1005 in 1983 at £139.99, the TRC1007 was £99.99 in 1987 & has a shorter telescopic aerial, no ‘range boost’ side panels & no crystal filter.

This immaculate example came in for repair/service. They are not easy or conventional to align & the service manual is essential.

The 455Khz ceramic filter was duff in this one, which Mr Chippie replaced.

At least you can run these from 13.8V in your car. Otherwise it’s 8 x AA alkaline batteries or 10 x AA rechargeable batteries as usual for a set of this type & power.

Note 4W means 3.5W, also as usual.
