  1. I was so surprised they didn't use Pan's Labyrinth. Seeing any of them do a drag Faun would have been amazing. I also realize as an American that I don't understand Spanish humor. I felt for Visa. I still loved every minute of it, though.

  2. I think/feel/believe that Clover's look is much more impactful than Pakita's, but I understand your bias.
Clover trying to fit in in a white society, ruinning part of her racial identity to do so sounds vulnerable enough. Going bald just because you'd feel ugly (that's what I got from the look) seems more superficial. And if it is about her identity then I do not understand how you wouldn't get Clover's look

Siempre atento a ti.

  5. I really resonated with Clovers runway. Loving our hair the way it comes out of our scalp and learning how to take care of natural curls is a journey. We are told our curls aren't tidy and we go through chemical straightening, blow drying, flat ironing and hot combs… So many burns. It is a lot and many of us struggled going to events because we have to plan things around our hair. I really felt identified with it more so because I was having that conversation very recently with my friends about how a "wash n go" is so misleading because we don't just wash our hair and go.

  6. Since the meet the queens I fell for Vania and Pakita… two very different queens but who I'd love to see perform live (that's my main reasoning to choose a favorite).
I still #teampakita and #teamvania but Pitita is coming hard, but the reason we all love her it's not only the fact she's killing it in the challenges (even though I agree with you and Pakita should have won this one), it's also her personality and behaviour in the talking heads and in the werkroom which is completely adorable.

Last week I expressed my frustration with Macarena, but this week I'm super happy for her and the fact she had a great week. I hope it keeps going and they forget about her villain edit.

I have my three favourites (Pakita, Vania and Pitita), but something makes me root for Clover. I want her to do great. Not only because she's one of the few women in the franchise, but the fact that she's that good with so little time doing drag it's just amazing.

Finally, and it's something dumb… but all the "trades of the season" are leaving quite soon. Not happy or sad about it, just pointing it out 🙂

Gracias como siempre por todo tu trabajo!❤

Una review estupenda, como siempre! Muchas gracias Marta! Un besote desde Bcn!

  8. as a bold man, Pakita's runway hit real deep. i completely understand her state of mind. but it changes, u face the fear and shave it and learn to love ur scull. but the process is…tricky, let's just say that. acting challenges r alway boring to me in every drag race. same as rusicals. just no. give me runways with good prompt and talent show and stand up. there's smth special when artist tells a story with outfit. i swear sometimes i think basic gay man r gonna be end of us as civilisation (like kelly), this blatant consumerism that is her persona is so common with modern gay man, her only reference point for anything in life r product for mass consumption (like reallity tv, pop music, fast fashion), and that comes out in her drag. it's not art, it's half baked billboard on building under construction.

  9. I was so proud of Pakita when they refused to make the balloon bursting sexual. It is something I would have done. I've been to fetish clubs, I've seen things, but I always feel uncomfortable when they treat The Pit Crew like toys. Pure class! 🖤

  12. I enjoyed this episode! Like you said it’s getting better! I’m black so Clover Bish referencing her hair as a vulnerability worked for me. We are told 4C hair is ugly and needs to be manipulated to fit beauty standards. Choosing to wear your hair curly is a statement in itself. So her throwing away flat iron at the beginning made sense to me.

  13. As a Mexican gay man, living in this macho society and having a broke relationship (or no relationship) with my Father Visa's story broke me. It's hard to reconcile the fact that someone who's supposed to love u, will never accept you.

  15. I agree that it was a very good episode! I am so happy it's getting better now, the queens really deserve the best exposure on the show.
I forgot that I already knew Ay Mama, and rediscovering was so amazing! I agree that the lipsync in itself was too much, I would've also preferred to see more emotions than stunts, but hey at the end of the day I am very glad Clover is still here!
As of my faves, right now I'm team Pitita, Pakita and Clover, but I have to say that Visa really touched me with her story and runway this week, I am very curious to see more from her!

  16. "them hips don't match those shoulders" was a moment for me! Made me laugh and I couldn't agree more. To answer your question about who are we loving now… I have been in love with Hornella since MTQ. Love can't be explained? After getting to know the girls more each week I also love Pakita (thanks to you sharing your love for her, and her winning performance on the first episode!) Pitita (for her fashion), La Maca (who I enjoyed in S1 and 'Sí lo digo') and Bestiah. I could go on and add more since as we get to know them, we love them all❣ Oh, and you Marta! Love you!

  17. I just finished watching this week's episode, the acting was fantastic and the runway looks were incredible. My favorites are Clover, Visa, Pakita, Bestiah and Pitita, I really enjoyed your review Marta and have a great day 😀👍🏻👍🏻

  18. i agree with you about the lip synchs. even in the US versions they have such a hard time not defaulting to doing signature moves instead of FEELING and PERFORMING the song. that's why i'm glad in the newer seasons even if a queen does all the theatrics to a song it doesn't save them from elimination

  19. I’m going to do a season 14 because I cannot pick who I want to win it all yet lol. As of right now my faves are Visa, Pitita, Clover, Pakita and Hornella.

Super unrelated but i love the like makeup imprint you have hanging behind you. Such a cool piece of art!

  20. About the runway, I didn't believe for a second that Vania is really scared of spiders, I think she was just trying to pull a schtick, and it looked a bit too costumey for my taste, compared to the others. In the aftershow interview with Ana Locking, I understood Kelly's look better: the reason why she keeps the black pants after the ruveal is because once you get over depression you are not exactly as you used to be before going through it all. I think (only think, can't confirm) that Pinkchadora was trying to go for the image of a Virgin (maybe because she can't get pregnant the traditional way?), who usually carry the baby Jesuses in the baby bundle and that's the different fabric the baby parts come from, I think.

  21. Shoutout to Clover Bish, who proved in the selection process you don't need a penis to be a dom top!!!
