Cheltenham… Only Bettor is back with its latest episode, and it sees our second guest of the series on week eight!
Hosted by Natalie Green, she is joined by her usual Betfair team of Daryl Carter and Kevin Blake and this week Sporting Life’s Dave Ord joined the panel to discuss all the action from the week that was.
The four of them looked through the performances of Mystical Power, Readin Tommy Wrong and Tullyhill to name just a few of the novice hurdlers for Willie Mullins, as well as delving into the novice chase, juvenile hurdle and bumper divisions.
This week’s antepost preview for the Cheltenham Festival 2024 turned to the Ryanair Chase off the back of the Grade 2 Silviniaco Conti Chase at Kempton, with Kevin Blake giving exclusive insight on the winner Banbridge.
To round the podcast off Kevin Blake and Daryl Carter put up their week eight Cheltenham Festival antepost selections for the 2024 meeting.

I see Daryl's quite into using his times etc to make a case which is good but you always need context. For instance Marine Nationale yes he was quicker than Dinoblue on his chase debut but so was Firm Footings so you have to start asking is that a reliable comparison?
I see Kevin Blake doesnt have any issue with Banbridge only having one run and heading to cheltenham, given he's involved in the yard. Yet he has a lot to say about how often Nicky Henderson runs his horses!
no one mentioned envoi allen?
Why does Facile Vega have to go up in trip? His las run was so awful he would have lost in any race over any trip with that performance. I can see him running in the Irish Arkle and if he can rectify his awful performance at Christmas he's all systems go for the Arkle. I don't think it's the trip that's getting him beat, it's a couple of horrendous rides. DRF he was given a stinker and I don't know what Patrick was doing on him the last day. He was so bad you could completely write off that performance
Reading Tommy wrong from the Kenny Roger song Coward of the County
Nat Green brings good energy to this show.
Mystical power Supreme winner no worries
Blood Destiny is a very disappointing/annoying horse. Looked a machine fto in Cork over hurdles and done nothing after, and the same fto Chasing. No heart gives up straight away
Haydock form should be binned when looking at Cheltenham races
RTR is an Albertt Bartlett for me. Think he was doing his best work at the end and I think he's a stayer
Tullyhill top class on nice ground
Ile Atlantique tried to make it in a gr1 over 2m4 on heavy ground and nearly succeded….thats a supreme horse imo folks
