Scalper Trading Opponents 💨 PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE Who is against you when you scalp? The opponents that you’re trading against when you’re scalping. this is slightly different when you’re swing trading but its worth knowing who is on the other side of the deal.
1. The first one is HFT (high frequency trading) firm who might try frontrunning your orders. 2 or 3 years ago this peaked but has died down a bit. Arb argos specifically in the currency markets try to triangulate the three currencies and you don’t want to get caught in that.
2. Algos This is about the Algos that are trading over a longer period of time . TWap Algo, VWap Algo, Timeslice Algo, Peg orders..etc
3. Other retail scalpers. If you’re trading very liquid markets this is not really relevant but in less liquid markets this could be an issue.
4. Prop firms – at one point all proprietary firms in London were focused on a few markets and were all doing the same things.
5. Stop probes. The market will probe liquidity quite naturally.
