You donât have to give up on Purdy. Heâs still under contract and can remain as Lanceâs backup. But I gotta tell you. If Trey Lance keeps getting injured đ€ or cannot play to the potential that made the 49âers give up two 1st rounders, then Mr. Irrelevant might have to become âMr. Relevantâ for San Francisco.
Purdy is JG+. Lance still has the higher ceiling. He just needs to prove it. Especially with this unit that he didnt get to run with.

it's always those qbs that come out of the shadows and prove they belong. if he keeps winning games I don't see the reason to take Purdy out but we gotta realize like Shannon said they spent too much to give up on trey RIGHT NOW.

Tray is a bust sorry to say ! Brock did more in his three games than Trey ever did in his starts. The kid has poise, command of the offense He doesnât have the jitters, happy feet or anything a rookie has.
