2. No. Insane. Jones will be better over time and is currently younger. Soto is still young but Spencer hasn't even hit his prime yet and that will be a sight to see when he gets a call up.

19. Truth is the Yankees need a power hitting lefty in the line up. Soto being young with a proven track record would be a welcome addition to hit alongside Judge, Rizzo, and could even be good protection to help Stanton get better hitters counts.
    With the recent history of poor farm system positives, letting Spencer Jones be traded away may not be a bad idea.
    Yankees, as they claim, are all about putting out a line up that gives them the best chance to win, they need to ask, who will be better at answering the question, Soto or Jones?

    Baseball is different now. With cheap young players, you can then fill in spots with what you need.

25. I think trading for Soto should be the Yankees main non-free agent offseason priority.. that said, I’d rather try to figure out a way not to give up Jones in the deal. They can have Pereira if they want a top 5 prospect who’s an outfielder and we can give more value in terms of the additional players. we need to keep getting more left-handed as a team and Jones can be a significant part of that too. Add Soto, but lets not give Dominguez, Jones or Wells in the deal if possible.. maybe something like Pereira, Schmidt, Hampton, Warren, possibly Chaparro

34. Absolutely if it was just for these 2 but I don't see a deal not including Jasson Dominguez and Drew Thorpe plus Jones and Hampton. I also see another team easily topping that offer. But to me he is absolutely the only guy we could get in the off-season that would be a difference maker for us next year.
