In this video, I will show you a simple back and lay bet live on screen. This sports trading strategy of placing a back and lay bet is called scalping. The idea is you just want to take a small profit out of the market each time.
As you will see from my bet here I did not need the horse to win. In fact, once my lay bet was matched I was able to move on from the race and on to another should I want to.
***This example is just an example. If you do this all the time then you will LOSE money, I researched the horse first and you should too! There are many other factors such as liquidity of markets if you want to use larger stakes. Be warned. You can LOSE money on the exchanges just like any other bookmaker.***

It's rubbish! What about the times the price never comes in and you lose your entire back stake? It will happen more than one in five times! Why do these idiots post when they don't have a clue?
Im sorry but this is amateurish, sooner rather than later your favourite is going to have a poor race and never reach those odds, youll lose all the money you have made
is there a calculator for lay first then back ?

Hi everyone. Complete beginner so apologise for the Page 1 questions! Are you guaranteed profit once the lay bet matches because you back and layed therefore you "win" the bet – and the 43p is the extra from the lay bet? Do i understandt it correctly? Do you have other videos explaining the whole concept?

No guarantees here if your horse don't match inplay it's a loss of all stake.
Not guaranteed if the horse flops backing you lost if a horse is laid and is up front the whole race the lay odds won't dip enough to profit.
Please don't do this especially on big stakes you'll always lose in the long run
Avoid betting on horse racing. The most unpredictable sport on the planet!!
The £2 bets might get through the market but as you increase the stakes it's harder to get that money through the market as you start to manipulate the odds. Nothing learnt here. You're guessing the price will match inplay. This is a fools trade. Not recommended.

This isnt trading, this is just basically backing the favourite and cashing out if your horse is leading.
