SKY vs Betdaq & Betfair live video feed comparison

This is a short video comparing Betfair live video, Betdaq live video and a SKY feed.

Terrestrial live feeds are the fastest feeds you can get, but even then, the digital switch-over has added some latency to that. Obviously the fastest feed is to be at the actual track itself.

But this video gives you some comparison of the difference between the conventional feeds that are available.

  1. This is interesting I have actually watched The same TV broadcast on two different TV sets and there has been a 15 sec delay.

  2. is Betdaq still the fastest today peter ? or is there other service you would recommend that give better overview of the race.. im having hard time to see the numbers and im planing to make my bets in the inplay time.. i guess its would be amazing to have a service that give overview like this one from gulfstream where you can see the horse numbers so a person can have time to get out of the race or cut the loses before they grow bigger… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtbV7OdogI4

  3. Almost certainly but that was exploited some time ago. Have a read of the blog where I've got some photos of people trying to take advantage of this. It's basically turned into a bit of a turf war.

  4. Would there be an advantage to be had if you were present as a spectator in, say, a tennis match? or even a horse race; and were trading using your mobile phone or a laptop with a 3g conneciton.

  5. Confirms what I always knew myself in football and tennis tradiing. Never rely on sky sports. On most matches you are 5 seconds behind often upto 7!
