South-North Water Transfer: 2.5X bigger than 3 Gorges, runs into deficit & threatens people’s lives

The Three Gorges Dam and the South-to-North Water Transfer Project are two of the Chinese Communist Party’s major operational water resource projects. The construction of the Three Gorges Dam sparked heated debates among Chinese scholars in the 1980s and 1990s, but in 2000, the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, which is 2.5 times larger than the Three Gorges Project, was launched amidst a wave of silence.
In fact, it’s an illusion created by the Chinese government. Even before the project is completed, it has shown that its potential damages are even worse than those of the Three Gorges Project.

  1. And on the pedestal these words appear
‚My name is Ozymandias, king of kings
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!‘
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

  2. People have been modifying waterways since the dawn of civilization, usually for farming purposes, and has been largely successful. It can be done in a way that causes more good than harm, but the CCP is too corrupt and incompetent to do it right. People shouldn't use the CCP's incompetence as an excuse to say that humans should not use its ingenuity to create areas on Earth that are more hospitable and less chaotic.

  3. Using fengshui to argue against the project is itself BS methodology regardless of if the underlying project is shit

  4. Jealous Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
China is a developing nation do you know how your own country dealt with water projects. So many complaint I just ask you look into your own backyard before complaints. The USA has the worst health care system in the world. The USA has the one of the worst homeless issues in the world. Maybe you should look at your own Colorado river drain to set up golf holiday areas in Arizona or even farmlands in Arizona draining dry your own aquifers or even the Mississippi river do you know how polluted it is. California Owens lake well once a lake now barren land. Lake Mead look at the picture of this once great lake in the year 2000 and look at it in 2022. Sort out your own countries issues and stop complaining about other countries issues.

  5. Arrogance and complacency are are man's biggest enemy, also spiritual forgetfulness.very good video series by the way .

  6. 3 gorges is a utter failure and cannot handle the water this is to simply divert the water away so that the failure won't be seen

  7. Those rivers look like COVID soup, this is the kind of behavior that will end up wiping out the human race

  8. It's ok… someday.. it will be like the great wall…people visits for a fee! Like southwest usa no water…

  10. A black propaganda paid by the western power. I do appreciate these herculean projects – there are nothing wrong with these. On the contrary, these will greatly benefit the the environment, the people and will provide endless opportunities. Mark my word!!!

  11. Any concrete in this concrete dam? Maybe rebar in the steel reinforcement? Not too much sand in the mix?
I would not want to live downstream from this giant pos.

  12. Some banks were offering 4% so everyone put their life saving in ,,the deposit went in to the share holders account…who took the money and went overseas,, could be as much 59 billion has been stolen on top of this.

  13. Unfortunately, it's not only China that does not respect nature. The US and Europe have done the same. Thanks to the threat of global warming and loss of diversity, we are fortunately realizing that we must learn to live and adapt natural processes to our culture.

  14. I get a really bad feeling about those huge aqueducts when thinking about the prevailing tofu dreg construction methods of China…
