Tennessee state song!! Hell Yeah!! Lot of families lived this way….some still do!!
<3
Very true started all in east Tennessee
The Masons… should always be "Kiss In Lime Light Every Day".
Another favorite of mine.!!!!!!!!!!.❤😂🎉🎉😂😂❤❤
Please calm down and relax a bit. I bought the full CD with this track included in 89-90, and I thought it was roug, fresh and hard, which was my favourite at that time. I instantly liked it, played it 3 times and that was it. 33 years later it means nothing to me. The story is not particularly funny nor interresting. With more than 30k comments its one of the biggest in youtube. I think it just shows the special American patriotism! Not the simplicity of the song. Expect few answers to my comment.
This is a good song and a good video
He was doing it before it was cool.
Couple nights ago we were rigging down our drillin rig and I was up on the floor feeding wires to our motorhand. I was singin bits of this song and I finally just pulled my phone out and started playing it and jammin out while I was workin
Danny
The official state song of Tennessee.
Hace un par de años conozco su música y me encanta es enérgica, gracias Stevie
Government not getting their part of the money from it in taxes is what they didn't like about people stilling their own shine. Times have changed with the legal moonshining now that the yuppies buy into.
My pawpaw was a big fan of your song but he died last June on the 20th something
Captures three generations of Scots-Irish just trying to survive and provide a product a lot of people wanted. Living in the Appalachian mountains must have been a preferable alternative to the British army back in the 18th century when they first began to emigrate. They built a culture that is handed down even today. If you are skeptical just do a search on Highland Games, there are so many all around the country and abroad.
Yeah I'm from Knoxville went to copper ridge elementary school iv got a 68 Dodge Roadrunner with a 383 in it I can make the ground shake lol
Great road trip through the back roads music. Also love it mountain biking single track through the Maine forests.
It's folklore. Best songs are.
Now is that Tom Berenger in this video ? Or his less successful brother? I need answers !

I tried writing a previous comment but it didn't show up do you know w what it feels like to be the son of a woman's gra ndd parentes to be butchered in auchwit
This reminds of that film Deliverance.
Chrysler did Nonnie & Clide pretty well served the iefd
Definitely big black Dodge
Always fell like a marching cadence to me
Fuck prohibition.
This represents what's right with the music industry. Not those Pop Tarts Cyrus and Katy Perry or that jism junkie Sam Smith.
Great song. I'd love to hear Steve Earle's son cover this song.
Perfect mix of rock, country and Appalachian music
1:39 lol the drummers parents were brother and sister you can tell his family tree is a log! good song thought! what a dirty cousin fugger!
And the was Thunder, Thunder
Along the Thunder Road
Thunder was his engine
White Lightning was his load
And there was moonshine
Moonshine
To quench the Devil's thirst
The Law they tried to catch 'I'm
But the Devil got 'im first.
No words needed!!!!!
Love this song. Love the story it tells. Just poor people trying to make ends meet. Still true to this day. Song reminds me of my grandpa and dad and his brothers. LOL
