  1. Capcom kind of drops the ball on these collections. Darkstalkers resurrection has hd visuals and uncompressed sound looks so much better than this collection, just like the sf3 online edition. They should just bring these to modern consoles.

  2. The reason there are 3 Vampire Saviour variants is because of the space limitations of CPS2 hardware and they could not put all the characters in one game, not due to balance etc.

  3. Nice vid but thumbs down for the gameplay footage. Get some footage from someone who knows how to play fighters. Appreciate the vid though, thanks for the review.

  4. This should have: Cyberbots, Vampire Saviour, Street Fighter II Hyper, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Project Justice, Powerstone 2, Red Earth, Marvel vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom 2.

  5. Great review as always Jim. Is it weird that when I saw the title Capcom Fighting Collection I immediately thought of the OG XBOX or Wii final burn collections? Hah!

  6. Did they fix the difficulty in HYPER SF2? I remember the PS2 american version being ultra hard to beat regardless of the difficulty set.

  7. You’re actually pretty much spot on in what you say about the Vampire/Dark Stalkers games.
The first three games are simply that, the other two were released on the same about a month after the third game. One uses the first game’s characters and is a sequel to that game while the other uses the second game’s characters and is a sequel to that game.
Apparently they wanted to use ALL the characters in the third game but just couldn’t get them to balance well enough so the ended up doing this. A bit crazy and these days they probably would have just forced all the characters into a single game even if they couldn’t get them to balance well. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  8. I think Disney has been really weird about licensing out their IP. Sure, they eventually put some things out after pulling them, like Deadpool and MvC3, but I can see them holding out on things like Children of the Atom and older MvC titles, even if it doesn't make sense to. Boy, it sure would be nice to play not only those old X-Men and Marvel games, but the old X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance games on modern hardware and PC

  9. Red Earth is the only game that is gonna take my full focus to master. It's not like anything I ever played before!

  10. Great collection bought it day one, it's awesome to have a physical version for these games and I don't know about the Japanese version but in North America it came with a code for the game 3 Wonders for the Capcom Arcade Stadium 2

  11. I did pick this one up! a bunch of great 2D fighters from Capcom's arcade catalog, including all the Darkstalkers/Vampire series games. I thought it was super cool to see HYPER SF2 included, I was disappointed it didn't make the cut in Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, so cool to see it show up here. I do remember the first couple Darkstalkers games on PS/Saturn back in the day though I didn't keep up as much with that series. Still cool to see them all here, though. as far as fight sticks go I love my HORI Fight Stick Mini for switch! definitely makes all these arcade ports super fun.

  12. Good collection of classics. A lot of games I played and some I haven't. I'm hoping that they will make a 3D Fighting Collection with Power Stone, Rival Schools, Star Gladiator, Final Fight Revenge, SF EX and Tech Romancer. A guy can dream…

  13. Nice metal scream for the ‘more games’, also love the commercial break haha. PS: have you checked out VGM Robot? I really think it’s an arcade you would like.

  14. Loved this Collection by Capcom here mate! The switch is the best version because you can take it with you where ever you go & has the best arcade games ever created like Vampire, Street Fighter, & many others.
