I won at 1000 to 1 odds one day at my local betting shop!
I rarely gamble anymore but used to frequent our local bookies at weekends.
They had a new 12 number lottery game where you had to pick either the 1st no# at 10 to 1, The 1st and 2nd no# at 100 to 1 or the 1st, 2nd & 3rd at 1000 to 1(like a tricast).
The board showed about the previous 100 numbers or so that had came up & I simply stood looking at them a while. I went into a brief kind of lucid thought mode & I felt some kind of pattern was there & instinctively picked 3, 8 & 11 as I remember.
Anyhow I laid a fairly small bet of about £3.40 I think.
I picked 3 to win & the rest as a combination of 6 doubles & 6 tricasts.
When I won, £11 for the £1 win at 10-1 £25 for the 25p forecast at 100-1 & £150 for the 15p tricast at 1000-1, the manager said 'you make it look so easy!' I asked him how many people played it and he said it hadn't quite caught many peoples attention & I was one of a small handful who had played. It hadn't sunk in how big the odds were until after.
The game was made redundant a couple of weeks later.
In roulette only 1 rule to win. Never bet on numbers. Always bet on odd even or red black. Which is very common and easy to win. Small small winning matters.
