The Lamar Jackson saga has taken several sharp twists and turns over the past month. During an impasse with the team, and rejecting an extension from Baltimore last fall, Lamar has entered the free agent market. However, it’s with a twist: He’s on the Transition Tag, which means that the Ravens can match any offer agreed to with another team, or let him go and receive two first round picks.

As a result, the robust market expected for Lamar hasn’t come to fruition. Or it could be Lamar’s antics and demands that could be turning teams off (his desires for a fully guaranteed contract like Deshaun Watson is a huge turnoff). There lies the dilemma: Is Lamar Jackson worthy of such an exorbitant contract? Or is he going way over his head and accept something more reasonable?

This video will present both arguments, for debate’s sake: One in favor of paying him and one against. Felt like a challenge, so that’s why I chose to do both in honor of the situation.

I had been working on this for a few days before the news broke about Lamar demanding a trade out, so I swear I’m not trying to mine for clicks (I think, anyway). There will be no success there, however. Enjoy the vid?
