1. Frank Reich is immediately in a better position, now that David Tepper is not his boss. Trading up to get Bryce Young was not what the Panthers needed. They needed to make the rest of the team better first, and they didn’t.

13. First of all to say Reich and the rest of the staff didn’t also want bryce over cj is pure speculation. That video of the pro day was the first pro day they went to as they hadn’t seen bryce yet. Saying “some owners stay away and others do” is also being taken out of context because he was talking about who was doing the playcalling. Go watch the press conference on draft day and you can see reich day the decision to take bryce was unanimous from scott on down.

20. Tepper is garbage as an owner. The Panthers highest scoring game this year was in Andy Dalton’s lone start. Should have just went with Dalton at QB and kept Moore. DJ Moore and Adam Thielen would have been a nice combo. Could have used their first rounder on an O-lineman or whatever else they wanted to do and would still have that first rounder next year.

22. Bryce Young will be fine. This is nowhere near the worst trade of all time. Young was considered the #1 QB by many and CJ was seen as a boom or bust guy.

    Hindsight is always 20/20 but let’s not act like Bryce wasn’t the -10000 betting favorite to go #1 as soon as Carolina traded to number 1 a week or so before the draft lol.

    CJ has surprised EVERYONE and Bryce looks like he has potential but got screwed by having to play for CAR and their current weapons.

    Also.. CJ got very lucky to be in a HOU uniform because they actually want to listen to him and build around him. He has stated that he was asking for the team to draft Tank Dell because they had a ton of chemistry.. HOU did as he asked and now look at those two .. killing it.

24. Firm believer the panthers would’ve been fine trading at 2 and keeping DJ Moore. The Texans wanted BY. The panthers staff wanted CJ. Tepp pushed for BY, plain and simple. And by doing so, we lost a lot of draft capital.

25. I wanted cj stroud we took young and I don’t believe CJ would fair any better then young with the Oline and lack of weapons we have. I blame Scott fitterer for his terrible draft picks his terrible trades I mean he traded away our best two offensive players without replacing them and we should have gotten 2 first for CMC or better yet never traded him. Bryce Young will be great when we have the right weapons around him an an O line that can protect him. We also need the right coaches. I believe Tepper will get it right this time around… they should have traded up to 2 and kept DJ Moore and CMC. They had better get it right this time around because us Carolina fans are fed up.     It’s not hard to see Bruce Young taking a couple years to look like a competent player in that Tua type of mold if he has a solid supporting cast around him, but they traded proven talent for lottery picks.
    Look at how nice it is for Brock Purdy to play with guys like CMC and Deebo? Now imagine if Deebo was 6’2?! I’ve always liked our guys Aiyuk & Deebo, but ofc I’d still be happy if SF had DJ Moore instead of Deebo and/or AJ Brown instead of Aiyuk. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to transition to a new era, and keeping your elite 26yo MVP-caliber dual threat/do-it-all running back at least as a safeguard for your rookie QB.
