TOKYO RETRO GAME HUNTS 2022

A compilation of retro game hunts from around Tokyo in 2022. This year we went to Shinjuku, Akihabara, Meguro, and various other neighborhoods around the city, finding the very best in Japanese retro gaming goodness.

  1. I like the starting a super famicom collection for under 50 bucks segment. Id like to start a collection like that.

  2. I want to watch more of your content but i think you need to improve your camera work as i’m nauseous and dizzy wuth the constant moving.

  3. i Really like your Videos.

feels so Good in back to TIME Retro Dimension.

Thanks a lot. also always Kool fresh Retro Sound Selection.

  4. If only I had OVER 9,000 so I could get some of those games.

Always love looking at these retro game stores in Japan.

  5. Cyberbots does have a western release now, it's part of the Capcom Fighting game collection. Digitally, but still available for the west, and isn't too bad of a price. Comes with Red Earth as well.

  6. Just got back from Japan a few weeks back. Once thing I noticed was that the Japanese customers were always perusing the “recently retro” (say from PS2 onwards) shelves. They weren’t so interested in the old skool Famicom/Megadrive games. It was the Brits/Yanks that were wolfing down those carts. Most of them picking up nostalgia picks they probably already bought as a kid.

Which might well explain why Sonic the Hedgehog 1 was going for forty quid, despite everyone having it back in the day as a kid and they must have sold ten trillion copies worldwide! 😂

I predict the PC Engine stuff will dramatically rise in price soon as that was a complete novelty (especially for us Brits who never had that console).

  7. Morning Jim how are you mate? Can't wait to see this Premiere here until 14:00 PM UK time here! Love Retro game hunting videos in Japan when watching these here on YOUTUBE! 👍😀🎮🇬🇧
