  1. does more torque actually translate to increased throughput? I'd imagine it's probably negligible but that's good to know! If I can get a bit more speed for free, why not try it? 🙂

  2. I just set these up! The nic is only 1gb, and I get an average of 700mb (according to the Moca web interface). It's REALLY GOOD.

  3. Yo I really like the video. I think the only thing you missed out on is showing us how INCONSISTENT your WiFi is and WHY you needed to get ethernet for that CONSISTENCY you can ONLY get with MoCA, haha. Running cables across floors is a hassle, people don't want to run cables through the walls of their house sometimes and powerline sucks.

Personally, I'm a gamer and I can't play with friends if I'm always lagging on wifi because the microwave is on or my roommates are watching HBO.

  4. @Mr. RemoteLife – I have a question. First of all, I am confused. I enjoy your channel and have watch several of your videos. Thank you. My situation. I have Spectrum 400mbit service coming into my office. The coaxial goes directly into my docsis 3.0 cable modem. From there, an eithernet cable goes into my wireless router. And from the wireless router, another Ethernet cable goes to my PC. Would a Moco 2.5 adapter help me with speed at all? I am looking for better ping times. I am not so much interested in the wifi speed ( I have an Netgear AX6 5400 Wireless Router ) I am confused if this Moca 2.5 adapter will help my speed / ping times at all. Thank you in advance if you are able to help me.

  5. Speedtest.net is a terrible site to use. Use NPerf. Much better at getting accurate speeds. Would like to know what your speeds are before and after with that site.

Also you should try iperf with another decide on your network to stress test it and see what the difference is.

  6. Ok. I have a xfi gateway. I enabled the MOCA in it. Now can I just add the MoCA filter to the cable entering the house then cable that to my Xfi Gateway. Then after that how can I connect this gateway to a MoCA splitter so I can get connection to more than one room in the house?? Out of the 10 cables I have only one that is connected to a room in the house where I don’t want it to be. I’m just stuck on what adapter I can use that goes from my MoCA enable router to the splitter

  7. You should have done a walk-through of cutting the RG6, as well, I was curious on why not just measure the distance from the plug to the computer and just purchase a Cat6 cable at that length, might have been easier. Good on ya.
