One question we get asked a lot is what actually is a betting bot?
In the short 3 minute video I am going to my best to show you what an automated betting bot is, what it can look like and where you can get one.

Most of the betting bots out there at the moment work with 2 sites.
Betfair & Betdaq.
The reason for that is that in order for a betting bot to work it needs a really secure link and stable platform to interface with and Betfair and Betdaq provide this.
It is called an API
(Application-programming interface)
It’s just a set of instructions that the Betting Bot can understand.
So first of all we have you and your computer or you could also use a virtual server.
It doesn’t matter where as long as you can access the software and it has an internet connection (broadband is best).
So like any other program you have on your PC you first of all run the software.
The software uses 128bit encryption (well should do) to connect to Betfair.
This allows you to safely put in your account details so that the Betting Bot can let betfair know that it is going to place bets on your behalf.
All you have to do now is set the software up to bet in the way you prefer.
Click Start and off it goes.
The good things about a betting bot.
1. It’s automated so you don’t have to be there.
2. It can do quite complex betting which you would find hard to do manually like dutching or trading or even recover staking.
3. Doesn’t make mistakes and stops betting as soon as your Stop/Loss is reached.
4. Allows you to record betting information easily
5. Should allow you to bet in paper trade mode (simulated betting)
Things against.
1. Normally only work with Betfair and Betdaq.
2. Need to be connected to the internet when it is monitoring the betting markets.
