There’s no such thing as a bad Spurs team because Pop teaches the game the right way, they just didn’t have much talent at the time. Trae is not Brunson. DJM is not the reason the Hawks are not good, he’s been steady and improve as a shooter. He’s a 6’5 wing defender, and another playmaker who can spell Brunson when they play together and as a leader of the bench units when they sub in. It’s too good of a move to ignore.

People are being so blind to the fact Murray and Brunson can play with each other look at the trade off one both are good at catch and shoot .Two Murray provides extra size on the floor plus he can cover the extra scoring plus facilitating when Brunson goes to the bench even though he's a starter plus you can hide Brunson even more if 3 of the starting 5 can play defense .

20. If Murray can find his role to excel with Brunson dominating the ball, then yes. But too, it also looks like he would have to accept the IQ role in short, him running the second unit to knock down shots and getting orhers into a rhythm, him primarily as a distributer to keep the ball moving and trusting in his teammates to keep the defense honest, but what’s key is for Dejounte to know when the coach gives him the green light to get buckets to keep Knicks in winning positions and he has to be able to turn it on and off where he’s needed according to Thibs’s plan… I don’t agree with Thibs but solving any math problem can be done in different ways to get the right answers.
