  1. So I removed the timing tensioner without pushing the pin in & the spring and cap fell down behind the cover. Is there any easy way to fish out the pieces without removing the entire timing cover??

  2. Do not follow this video for disassembly instructions. It's standard practise to replace both chains at once – the timing chain and the balance chain. As per the service manual, remove the oil pan lower and upper assembies and the oil pickup BEFORE removing the timing cover – this avoids the need for strange manoeuvering of the timing cover to get it free of the oil pickup.
AND THE TIMING CHAIN ALIGNMENT>>>…WTF!!?!?! WROOOONG. You will blow up your engine if you follow these instructions!

  3. When the gears are in the proper position and you install the chain with the colored links in position, you're good. Once you turn the engine the marked links will no longer line up. You would have to turn the engine about 130 times for this to happen.

  4. There is no way the procedure will work in the car…. And I’m confident you have no idea what your talking about because the second chain drives the balance shafts and not the oil pump. The oil pump is what you had problems getting out the upper oil pan

  5. Im having trouble with the oil strainer sliding up past the oil pump casing, (bottom of it anyway). The bottom of the strainer where the bolt secures it normally is jamming up beside pump housing/ casing what have you, no matter which direction or how far out I can get the rest of the timing cover. Have you ever know anyone to have to remove pump to get cover off?

  6. Every video ive seen says you have to take the oil pan off to do this in car, you just show the oil pain cover? Im confused. This is for a 2002 to 2006 2.5s right?

  7. It takes about 100 or more revolutions to get those marks back in the correct spot, but it’s only necessary for installation purposes.

  8. Those marks on the chain is for installation purposes only.. It will take so so amount of revolution for the marks to realigned perfectly again. Good video though 👌 👍 👏.

  9. Thanks for the great advice, and also I appreciate the reminders of making sure the little things aren't forgotten, and then moving onto the next step. Awesome help.I was wondering if you have anything on complete install of turbo and components for 03 nissan sentra se-r spec v?

  10. DO NOT FOLLOW THIS MANS VIDEO HE SET TIMING WRONG AND HES NOT A PROFESSIONAL THIS VIDEO WILL DESTROY YOUR ENGINE.Stop making videos for auto repair. I would love to know how many people bent their valves listening to this dumbass. The tensioner bar will never fucking fail! Moron its the chain stretching that cause the issue. Not the tensioner.
