  1. I think if you have good fundamental analysis, not necessarily non-public, then you can get better odds the night before, but if the market agrees and price goes in, I generally stay in but I am a gambler.

  2. i do agree and disagree. if its a two three day meeting and the day before the jockey as had a couple of winners and the trainers had a winner too, its a good trade if the horse in question is in the first race or second race of the day and the odds are in double figures 10.00 11.00 or higher. this works better placing your trade late at night or about 8.00 in the morning.
it works better if the jocky is a good one.

  3. Caan, out of curiosity, have you any idea how many people trading are on your level?, are we talking 100’s, 1000’s?, less than 10?

  4. Hi Caan, I've been learning about trading for a short while now and I have a question that I'm unsure of. What is the benefit of finding value in a market and selling the bet on as opposed to letting it run? For example, if I back a team to win at 2.0 and they score early, why lay that to lock in a profit if the odds are in my favour and I stand to make a larger profit if the result goes the right way? I come from a punting background so this is counterintuitive for me. Thanks

  5. hi I,ve noticed on betdaq that there is often massive amounts matched on the highest priced horse, completely out of proportion to the market in general. Any idea why? thanks

  6. Well the image i tweeted you was a night before trade on the Triumph Hurdle favourites – Apples Shakira, Hopefully i marked your card that morning, but the Cheltenham festival is a separate entity! as you well know!

  7. Hi Caan

A bit off topic but in your opinion do the markets react in a similar fashion on Betdaq, compared to Betfair?

Looking to start trading in the next couple of months and trying to gather as much info as I can just now

    Thanks
