  1. my favorite part of these videos is when the speaker is talking about a serious and sad event but the other 3 who worked on it are just standing there smiling like a family guy stock pose

  2. While the Preventive Medicine MOS in the US Army got its start in Panama, the Spanish Flu really showed the Army that they needed Preventive Medicine. If not for the flu, this MOS likely would have never survived to this day.

  3. I’ve never thought about the horses. Gosh. Ur soo right. And, u made me cry talking about ur brother/uncle. Bless ur sister

  4. Yeah, they definitely mentioned the flag issue in the lies video. I don't even need to go watch it to check, by this point in their production of these series, they have a dedicated flag section in their lies videos because they mix them up so often.

  5. I have always been fascinated with the Spanish flu. My uncle was an Immunologist and was a brilliant man. He worked so hard. He passed away last year of a heart attack. Very Sad.

  6. This is verbatim told in the exact way as the book The Great Influenza, like a copy n paste from the book

  7. My maternal grandfather, born in 1898, had a draft card for both WW1 and WW2. Draft eligibles for WW2 started with births in 1897 in the US.

  8. Philadelphia elected officials were corrupt and incompetent? Say it ain't so! All jokes aside, it is a shame that Warhawks in the military and government were so blinded by the machine to see the cogs and wheels breaking down as they ran it into the ground.

  9. In a death certificate you have a "cause of death" and a "manner of death" in a case of a superimpose bacterial pneumonia that proceeds a viral infection the report would say that the manner of death is bacterial pneumonia and the cause of death is viral pneumonia. because if the patient would not contract the virus he was not likely to die from the bacteria.

  10. I worked nursing for 13 years and staph infections became more commonplace, I had one cause me to have a stroke. So I know what these heroes faced…

  11. The mechanism of Covid related deaths particularly respiratory failure is actually largely your body and immune system having too harsh an immune response than the pathology of the virus itself killing its host. The cytokine storm, which oversimplified is basically your immune system carpet bombing an area of infected cells to get rid of the virus and infection cells, essential ruptures many avioli in the lungs. Cells are mainly water, and ruptured cells in the lungs release tons of interstitial fluid. If your body cannot clear this fluid fast enough, you essentially develop phenomena, and at a certain % of surface area reach respiratory failure. Once you hit that critical % nothing can be done to save you. Same can happen with the flu, you essentially drown and your body shuts down. Terrible stuff.

  12. As a health care worker (RN), I can absolutely relate to giving medical advice and warnings and being ignored by non-medical ppl. SOOOO Freaking aggravating!!!! I feel for these poor MD’s.

  13. Although we like to tell ourselves that we learn from our mistakes, there are many times we don't and history repeats itself
